Last night I met up with my two knitting friends Andrea and Faith at their favorite frozen yogurt shop for some dessert and knitting. It’s so much fun to have knitters to hang out with again! Andrea is just starting to learn and Faith is pretty much an expert, while I’m somewhere in the middle. It makes it a lot of fun for us to share ideas and teach each other things. Faith is interested in learning to spin yarn so I gave her my old supplies. I’d tried it a while back but I don’t have the patience to make my own yarn before knitting a project, lol. Andrea is making a scarf out of some gorgeous purple yarn, it’s already turning out WAY better than my first scarf did (really, it was hideous, lol). Plus it’s just fun having girl time and talking while knitting, I’m really looking forward to the next one. :)

I’ve got the knitting bug again! I found this cute cowl pattern on Ravelry and just couldn’t resist. It’s called ZuZu’s Petals and I’m using a cotton silk blend in a soft cream color that I had leftover from a scarf I made last year. Having the pattern as a PDF on my iPad makes it so convenient to take it with me. I cast on during the Super Bowl last night and I’m already about a third done, can’t wait to finish it.
