Last night while I was at the grocery store I picked up an issue of O Magazine to read at work today.  The issue is about organizing, de-cluttering, and removing bad thoughts and habits.

There’s an article about Oprah’s interview with Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist monk.  I don’t follow Buddhism at all but found the interview to be very inspiring. It really makes you think about how better to appreciate every aspect of our lives and focus on peaceful living.

Be sure to check it out.

I love to make lists. REALLY love to make lists. If you know me well at all then you know this about me.  I make so many lists that some people regularly tease me about it.

Maybe it’s more of a case where I can’t help myself from making lists. When I’m frustrated or stressed it’s the only way I can make sense of whatever is stressing me. I also love the sense of order I get out of taking a jumble of chaotic thoughts and ideas and lining them up on paper. It makes me feel grounded, stable, and in control.  And the sense of accomplishment I get from crossing things off the To Do list… it’s wonderful.

Tonight I learned that I’m not the only Listaholic out there, in fact there are several of us blogging our lists after being inspired by The 52 Lists Project. So I’ve decided to try and do the same. How do you know if you’re a Listaholic? Here’s a handy list of questions to find out…

You know you are a list maker
if you answer yes to any of the following questions.

  1. Do you carry a notebook around just to write lists in?
  2. Do you write items on your to do list that you’ve already completed just for the thrill of marking it off?
  3. Do you currently have at least three different lists going?

Needless to say I answered yes to all three, what about you?

Can I just say, again, how much I love this site?

I recently heard about this beautiful site from Eddie’s blog, it’s called Days With My Father.  It’s a photo journal about a photographer and his father who suffered from Alzheimer’s.  It’s beautifully  put together and moving, definitely  check it out.

I have to take a moment and post about one of my new favorite websites, i can read. I think I found it through someone’s recommendation on twitter, and once I visited it for myself I was hooked.

i can read is a very simple tumblog that posts images with words.

I always look forward to new entries, it’s a lot like Postsecret that way, except there’s no set schedule for updates.

I love to waste time just going through old entries looking for images that reach out to me in some way.  I’ve found that depending on my mood I’ll relate to different ones each time.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check it out.
